FAQ

1. How do I determine the correct size of a light fixture for my space?
Selecting the appropriate size ensures both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Consider the following guidelines:
-
For Dining Tables: Choose a fixture with a diameter between half to three-quarters the width of your table. For instance, a table measuring 48 inches wide would pair well with a chandelier between 24 to 36 inches in diameter.
-
For Room Dimensions: Add the room's length and width (in feet); the sum (in inches) suggests an ideal fixture diameter. For example, a 12x14-foot room totals 26 feet, indicating a 26-inch wide fixture.
2. What is the recommended hanging height for ceiling fixtures?
Proper hanging height ensures optimal lighting and visual harmony:
-
Above Dining Tables or Kitchen Islands: Position the fixture so there's a 30 to 36-inch gap between the tabletop and the bottom of the light.
-
In Open Areas: Ensure at least 7 feet of clearance from the floor to the bottom of the fixture to accommodate foot traffic.
3. Do your light fixtures come with bulbs included?
Some of our fixtures are shipped with bulbs, while others require separate purchases. If a fixture includes bulbs, this information will be specified in the product details.
4. Can I replace my existing halogen lamps with LED bulbs?
Yes, replacing halogen lamps with LED bulbs is possible and offers energy efficiency. Ensure the LED bulb matches the original halogen's base type and voltage. For example, a 12V halogen lamp with a G4 base should be replaced with a 12V LED bulb of the same base type.
5. How should I clean and maintain my light fixtures?
Regular maintenance preserves the appearance and functionality of your fixtures:
-
General Cleaning: Turn off the power and use a dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the fixture. Avoid water or chemical cleaners to prevent damage.
-
For Chandeliers: If installed in high or hard-to-reach areas, consider using a chandelier lift system for safe access during cleaning.
